My “contribution” for the WSA 2011 show
Come to the Barge House on the 14th July, 18:30- 21:30: Oxo Tower Wharf, Bargehouse Street, London, SE1 9PH if you would like to check out my work. I spent months on it so it should be seen twice really.

She only sat on my face because I asked her too…
Degree show set up is VERY soon. I have the weekend to clear my stuff out of the studio then I actually have to work out how I’m going to show my work… Ideas have only come to my mind a few times and have been forgotten about very quickly. I can’t believe that I still have not given it any proper thought and I’m not even panicking about it! Has the 3 years I’ve spent in WSA ruined me and stopped me from caring about my degree? I’m making the work yes… weeks and weeks of labour over a piece of work I’m starting to think was too ambitious for the time-frame I have. It’s almost finished but that’s not even the most important thing. Showing the work is!
I’m hoping when I finally come in to uni next week motivation I feel I have lost will come back. Now back to sewing my life…
I went through my photos and came across this painting I made during my second year at WSA last May. It never fails to make me smile. Made whilst in an angry and confused state it helped me get rid of a lot of pent up angst. Making art for purely selfish reasons through a medium I did not think I would use again. This is the only piece I had not shown to the person I made it about during this period.
